Welcome to Powell Pediatric Dentistry in East Fresno! In our office, we are dedicated to working with your child to promote excellent oral health habits while having some fun. We believe that going to the dentist should be fun, exciting, and entertaining and we have tried our best to ensure that a visit to our office is all of those things.
Being nervous and anxious about going to the dentist is normal, but to eliminate fear right from the beginning, we have and do a couple of different things including:
While waiting in the waiting room, children and parents can play games and watch movies at our Ipad station.
During treatment, we allow the child to pick and watch a movie on our televisions right above the dental chair. This helps distract the child while we do our work and calms their nerves.
To help children understand what treatment they will be receiving and to calm them during treatment, our staff explains the process, shows the child the tools and instruments used and what they will be doing.
All of our patients know that once they have completed all their needed treatment during their visit, they are rewarded with a book and a balloon to take home, of their choosing.
For children, going to the dentist can be an exciting and overall fun experience when seeing a pediatric dentist. Because our dentists and staff are specifically trained to give treatment to young and adolescent children and children with special needs and disabilities, you know that your child will be receiving the best care.
