After Dental School at Case School of Dental Medicine, Dr Brent Powell DMD completed Pediatric Dentistry Training at Case Medical Center Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. This Hospital is among the top 5 pediatric hospitals in the country. After residency training he practiced in the beautiful Bend, OR for nearly 2 years. Dr. Powell then returned to Clovis, CA to be closer to family, and establish Fresno’s most reputable and compassionate pediatric dental practice.
Dr. Brent Powell is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. He is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Dr. Powell is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Association of Pediatric Dentists (AAPD), and a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Powell continues to educate himself with courses held locally as well as around the country. While in his pediatric dentistry residency he co-authored two journal articles on access to care and prevention, and wrote a manuscript for caries detection which has been accepted for publication.
Dr. Powell enjoys snowboarding, reading, spending time with his beautiful wife and 2 adorable young children.
Dr. Corbin Smith received a bachelor in science degree in biology from the University of Utah. After graduating with distinction, he attended dental school at Midwestern University college of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Az. During his dental education, he had the opportunity to serve in children’s clinics and on a mission trip where he realized how much he enjoyed working with children and helping them develop lifelong oral health. He was accepted to attend a two-year specialty-training program in pediatric dentistry at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Ak. While there he had the opportunity to serve children and patients with special needs from all over the state of Alaska.
Dr. Smith is Board Eligible for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). He maintains certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). He enjoys staying on the cutting edge of pediatric dentistry and loves learning how to better serve the pediatric dental patients he works with.
Dr. Smith is happily married with three beautiful children and loves to spend time with them. He also enjoys photography, rock climbing, running, and just being outdoors. Dr. Smith also speaks fluent Spanish.
Dr. Kunal Bhakta completed his undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California (USC). Following his passion for dentistry, he furthered his education by attending dental school at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in Los Angeles, CA. While attending dental school, Dr. Bhakta had the privilege of providing dental care to children via mobile clinics and during dental mission trips to Mexico. His growing love for making dental care an enjoyable experience for children led him to pursue advanced specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Bhakta completed his two year pediatric dental residency at NYU Langone Dental Medicine – Maryland site in Princess Anne, MD.
Dr. Bhakta is Board Eligible for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the California Dental Association (CDA). He is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Dr. Bhakta takes pride in continually furthering his education and knowledge in Pediatric Dentistry to provide the best possible dental experience for every child.
Dr. Bhakta is married and enjoys spending time with his wife trying new cuisines and is always open to new recommendations. He also enjoys spending weekends reading, watching sports, and traveling.
